The GDP in this region is very high. Therefore, it is one of the wealthiest regions in Italy. The terrain ranges from mountains and hills to flat plains. For instance, egg pastas and meats from this region are famous around Italy and the world. Bologna features mortadella while Parma is known for its prosciutto. The world-wide company Eataly has a special permanent fair called FICO Eataly World. The large exhibition space shows the specialties of each region through markets and restaurants. In addition, specialties apart from food have come from Emilia Romagna. Famous composers, folk and rock artists have come from this region.
