TUSCANY

Tuscany is a region in central Italy. The region’s capital is Florence, an open-air museum of art and history. The other towns of the region are Lucca, Pisa, Arezzo, Siena, Livorno, Massa Carrara, Prato, Pistoia, and Grosseto. Tuscany borders Liguria, Emilia Romanga, Le Marche, Umbria, and Lazio. Additionally, it shares a border with the Ligurian and Tyrrhenian seas. This region is famous for its vineyards and mainly the Chianti area. Another well known site is the leaning tower of Pisa. San Gimignano and Volterra are also great one-day trips. Volterra is known for its appearance in New Moon from the Twilight Series. Pinocchio is also from this region.
